My Week
Sunday afternoon, after the wedding party, the phone rings. It’s work.
Urgent issues needing to get done, so I stay up and work on it until 2am or so. Wake up call at 8 or something from work on Monday morning.
Repeat x 4.
Every. Day. This. Week. Last night, I got to bed at 10pm and I was physically and mentally exhausted from it all. Turned on my iPod, listened to some classical music and read for a couple of hours just to calm down and enjoy not working.
The one good (awesome? amazing?) thing that happened this week was going to an ultrasound with C and seeing baby Elvis. He/she was quite stubborn (gee, wonder where he gets *that* from?), and did not want his/her picture taken to get measured.
I’m gonna call Elvis “he” until we know. Writing he/she, seems silly. Unless I start using Priscilla. That might work.
Elvis/Priscilla (sigh…I’ll probably go back to he/she) was jumping around in there like he was having hickups, you could see little arms, little legs, and a face. Truly amazing. (Astonishing? Fantastic?)
We’re in week 12 now, so it should be safe to tell everyone. C’s dr said she needed to gain more weight, so in order to comply with doctor orders, I took C to Fuddruckers for dinner one night. (Thankyou, doctor, I’m liking this plan).

Back from Mexico
Wow. Crazy week after being gone for 9 days. Monday and Tuesday were pretty much work 24×7. Got a few things done to prepare for the party, but still lots to go this weekend and C is leaving for Houston on Sunday
Should have more time for blog posting after the party on the 22nd.

The day before the day of Mexico
Had a great time last night getting married and an excellent dinner at Berryhill afterwards.
Today, we’re both doing our best trying to get through work. Seems like it’s the end of the world just because you’re taking the first real vacation in 10 or so years. I’ll bring my laptop, but I don’t think I’ll be allowed to use it much.
C took tomorrow off to do final errands, I’ve got to work tomorrow to get through as much work as I possibly can before starting to pack tomorrow night. She’s currently at the dr without me, and I wish I was there with her.
edit: Cause I can’t spell

Wedding Day #1!
Today we’re getting married legally so that we don’t have to get married in Mexico with all the hassle that comes with that.
Lots of work done all morning, but I did get to sleep in until 9 after having worked until 2-something am this morning.
The only decision I want to make between now and 4:30 is what shirt to wear.
Been out buying flowers for C to have, and (hopefully she won’t read this before the wedding) I’ve set up so that M&S will meet us there and then go out and have dinner afterwards as a surprise.
Naming Elvis
Part of me thinks that once you see your baby, you’ll know the name you want to give them. We’re thinking about Dylan/Alexander Magnus or Emma Madeleine. Dylan Magnus is starting to grow on me. Oddly, it was much easier to come up with girl name than boy name. Thankfully, with Beverly Hills 90210 being so old, nobody should remember it to make fun of him in school. Then again, my kid would beat up any kid that tries to make fun of him. So there.
(I kid. A little bit. Mostly. Maybe not.)

Thankfully, the weekend is over
A weekend that was pretty much:
Work – Work – Work – Bachelor Party – Hangover – Work – Work.
I also got a haircut.

Whine here.
Worked until 9am this morning. Got up at 1pm. Now to the point where I could go to sleep by just closing my eyes, but we have at least another 12-16 hours to go of work.
If we're lucky.
