is it like normal when a couple is pregnant that the guy gets a tear in his eye while watching father/son moments in a movie?

What a big softie. But wait ’til you start getting weepy when you hear ridiculous kid songs on stations such as Sirius Kids. This is particularly true in the case of daughters.
